"To eats he begs,
To survive the harsh economic realities, he turns his children to hawks
He picks disused, abandoned cloth, otherwise called tokunbo
To get His pension, he protest
For shelter, he sleeps under the bridge
 His hopes are mindlessly dashed,
He is deprived of the very basic essentials of living
He lacks portable water
Electricity which he pays heavily for
From the streets, his life became endangered
Armed robbers would attack shoot at him in broad day light
He is at the mercy of fake, adultrated drugs
Poor water are marketed as pure
Unwholesome and unhygenic food items
To compound his woes:
The hospitals are not only inaccessible
They are terrible expensive
Which make him to run to quacks, herbal homes
Or simply engages in self medication
All very dangerous
Because the government has failed to
Cater for his health needs
The common man escaped flood and fire
Disasters, armed robbers, harsh economic realities,
adultrated, fake products, terrorist attacks
stolen political processes, bombings
Makes him, the man on the street
Who is very far from the government
Who the government does not
Think of alleviating his suffering
The man who bears the brunt of
Every government's misdeed,
Misgovernance, deserve the
Award, His resilience, his determination
His survival instincts make him ripe
again,
For the man of the year award

The NIGERIA SHALL SUCCEED/MOVE FORWARD empty rhetorics.

The NIGERIA SHALL SUCCEED/MOVE FORWARD empty rhetorics.

In the words of Dele Farotimi, madness is a tag many Nigerians wear with pride, many even rejoice in that tag and several others aren't aware they are a bold carrier of that tag.

In the backlash of several anomalies and the usual Siddon look reaction by our President,. Some 'hailers' started the Nigeria Must Succeed slangs.

It reminded me of the first slams of the Government after assuming power,

CHANGE BEGINS WITH YOU,

Whereas, Change has nothing to do with those at the helms of decision and power.

The Change that begins with you doesn't reduce their overbloated salaries and wages, it hasn't reduce the ever growing cost of Governance.

In as much as any sensible citizen will want a Country they can be proud of,

Let's tell ourselves the truth.

Slangs doesn't build roads,

Slangs doesn't make food items affordable,

Slangs doesn't fix electricity,

Slangs doesn't fix the economy,

Slangs doesn't make internet affordable,

Slangs doesn't improve living conditions

Slangs will not stop vote buying,

Slangs won't stop terrorism/banditry,

Slangs won't stop 'AUTHORITY STEALING'

The list is endless

Hear this o ye Nigerians,

slangs/prayers/wishes doesn't, have not and will never build any Nation,

Nigeria won't be an exception.

Visionary leadership not lip Service build a Nation
