WHY I CAN'T BE THE CHANGE
Fellow Nigerians,
From Sunday evening, Political Officers Holders will jostle for space on National Dailies, With each having captivating messages for the Eid-Il-Kabir Celebrations
We will see screaming headlines like
Be Like the Prophet
Imbibe the Virtures of the Prophet
Let's Emulate the Prophet and so on
They will tell us to emulate someone, imbibe the virture of someone, but they can't show the way and be emulated
How can I be the Change again, When have been a Change agent all my life?
* All my Educational qualifications were from Nigeria as against the elites and Politician wards who go abroad
* I don't go on MEDICAL TOURISM abroad despite the fact that Nigerian Government couldn't ensure we have enough Specialist hospitals ( My President was in UK recently to treat ear infections )
* My water is from borehole provision since Government hasn't remember people live in my area, hence no Public water supply
* Electricity is never constant, failure to pay the 'crazy bills' will still amount to disconnection
* Cooking Gas is still very expensive whereas millions of cubic of the Gas is being flared away unabated everyday
* I'm always being harrased to pay tax(es), Government even get their part before I get money on my sweat and some amounts to Multiple taxation
* To protect myself, alongside others in my Community, we have to pay monthly security levy to 'VGN guys' whereas we have NPF
* My CDA has to make effort to make roads in our Community motorable since Government won't fix the deplorable road
* I donate blood quarterly to Government recognised hospital as a VNRBD to ensure Citizen's who need blood get it
* I can't access forex from banks easily for business while cronies of the Government get it at free will, yet Change begins with me
* In the midst of unemployement, Children of elite Nigerians and those close to people in corridors of power were employed by FIRS, CBN leaving Police Job for all others
* Workers still earn same salary when a bag of Rice cost more than the minimum wage.
SO SHOULD I CHANGE ALL THESE AGAIN?
I guess if the Government want another change to begin with me, then they need me to take up arms against them for not "working the talk"
It's just a mockery and challenge of intellectual of the Citizen for the Government to ask us to be the Change, no Political Officer holder salary has been slashed Since 2015 that they come to power, even with the recession . Whereas,
¤ My Country still keep multiple fleet of Presidential Aircraft, which maintenance cost runs into many million
¤ My President, Governors, Senators, Reps, perharps Political Officer holders live with a larger than life attitude, blow sirens, keep multiple staffs,
¤ Our Senators and Reps still get newspaper allowance, Inconvinency allowance, access to Car, Wardrope Change all in Millions for wanting to serve their fatherland
¤ We don't know the earnings of an LG Councillor that is the least of elected officers Ditto all other Political officers holders
¤ A Large Chunk of the annual budgets goes into 'servicing' Political Office holders at the detriment of our collective development and growth as a Nation
¤ We still have overbloated overhead cost that hasn't reduced
¤ There are still many that collect dollars while doing Naira Job (e.g The Sport team )
¤ Governors keep collecting salary, estacodes and gallivate round even do charity donation while they owe their Workers several months
¤ While after removing "subsidy" and in recession couple with low Oil prices, marketers still want price increments
I want to see the Change, I should change to in Buhari, in my Governors, Our Senators, Ministers, Commisioners enough of follow my words
¤ Endless corruption cases without headway, reports of looters refunds without knowing costs and who return what
¤ Appointments are being make to satisfy "Federal Character" and not based on merit that it should be
This Government should look inward
They should march the words with Actions if they really want to be taken serious, 2019 is just behind the door, Nigerians are now ready for more trials, we will push them out the same way we pushed PDP, no more sentiments
Sentiments won't fix the Economy,
Sentiments won't fix the bad road(s),
Sentiments won't fix the Education sector,
Sentiments won't fix the rot in the hospitals and health sector
Sentiments won't fix the power needs of the populace,
Sentiments won't provide accomodation
Under their nose Prices of commodities including things produced in Nigeria soared to an all time high, that hasn't been handled, no mechanism control, Naira continue the free fall against the dollars, Company(ies) are sacking, while some are closing up, What change does this Government require from an hungry, jobless, or recently sacked citizen?
They should rather wake up from their slumber, be the change and the rest of Country will fall in line
May God judge Nigeria quickly
